What this page covers
This policy applies to twg-advisors.com. It describes what the site collects, why, how long it is kept, and how to ask us to delete it. It does not describe how we handle information received during an engagement, which is governed by the engagement letter and by the professional standards that apply to the work.
Information you send us
The inquiry forms on this site ask for your name, your firm or organization, your email address, a telephone number, the type of matter, the jurisdiction, and a description of what you need. The contact page asks for all of these; the homepage form asks for fewer. Only your name and email address are required. We receive whatever you choose to type, so please follow the instruction on the form and leave out party names and privileged detail.
Information collected automatically
Our host records standard server information for security and performance: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the referring page. We use a privacy-preserving analytics service that reports aggregate traffic without tracking individuals across sites.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes we will say so here and ask for consent where consent is required.
We use what you send to run a conflict check, decide whether we are the right firm for the matter, and reply to you. We use the automatic information to keep the site available and secure and to understand which pages are useful.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
We will only add you to a mailing list if you ask to be added. Every message we send that way has an unsubscribe link.
A small number of service providers process information on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to provide their service: our website host and security provider, the service that delivers form submissions to us, our email provider, and our analytics provider. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, in response to lawful process, or where necessary to protect the rights or safety of the firm or others.
Sending an inquiry through this site does not create a client relationship, and it does not by itself make what you send confidential or privileged.
We cannot treat information you send as confidential until a conflict check is completed and an engagement letter is signed. We may already represent, or later be retained by, a party adverse to you in the same matter. Keep your first description general.
Inquiries are retained as part of our conflict-check records, including inquiries we decline, because we have to be able to identify prior contacts when checking a future conflict. Server logs and analytics data are kept for a limited period and then discarded.
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to inquiry records is limited to the firm’s professionals. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and you should not use this form for anything sensitive.
Write to info@twg-advisors.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, or to be removed from any list. We will respond promptly. Where a request conflicts with our obligation to retain conflict-check records, we will tell you what we are keeping and why.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law. Tell us which law you are relying on and we will handle the request under it.
Children
This site is intended for professional use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
